Volunteers Are the HEART OF OUR MUSEUM!

The Reedville Fishermen’s Museum thrives thanks to the help of our dedicated volunteers. They form the backbone of nearly every aspect of our operation. Volunteers are needed in all areas to provide meaningful experiences to our guests and contribute their ideas to the museum.

How can you help?

We need you...

Become A Docent!

This is the foremost area of volunteerism available to our members.  Our docents assist visitors touring the museum by providing them with information on our facilities and exhibits.  Duties include sharing our welcome video, guiding visitors through our multi-building experience, and serving in our Museum Gift Shop.  Previous experience

This is the foremost area of volunteerism available to our members.  Our docents assist visitors touring the museum by providing them with information on our facilities and exhibits.  Duties include sharing our welcome video, guiding visitors through our multi-building experience, and serving in our Museum Gift Shop.  Previous experience is not required; we make information readily available to our volunteers and help expand their knowledge with informational training sessions.  Shifts average about 3 hours per month.  Our docents act as the face of the Museum to the public and are an integral part of our Museum’s continuing success!
